About

Courtney is an HPCSA-registered counsellor with over three years of experience in private practice. She is deeply committed to supporting mental health and wellbeing, with a passion for helping people live with acceptance, purpose, and resilience. Alongside her private practice, she collaborates with businesses and Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) to foster healthier workplaces and provide meaningful support to employees.

She enjoys facilitating workshops, as well as guiding both groups and individuals through counselling sessions. Naturally calm and compassionate, Courtney creates a safe and welcoming space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. She is particularly drawn to complex cases, where her curiosity and analytical thinking help uncover the deeper patterns shaping behaviour and wellbeing.

Courtney combines depth and reflection with a client-centred, solution-focused approach.

At the heart of her work is a commitment to destigmatising mental health and offering counselling that is purposeful, structured, and ultimately transformative. Her main priority is to foster intentional existence, guide authentic choice, and instill the courage to live on purpose.

Outside of her professional work, Courtney finds joy in nature and by the seaside. Courtney is curious about people and exploring different cultures, finding human nature fascinating. She also appreciates engaging with South African heritage, embracing the richness and diversity of her surroundings.

My Approach

Five W's of Counselling

What is Counselling?

Counselling is a unique process based on building a dynamic relationship whereby you are the expert and in the driver's seat of your life. In a calm and private space, we work together to navigate the most suited solutions. Counselling is not rigid, and no one type of process is applied, instead, an individualised integrative approach is created for each person.

The counselling relationship is valuable, insightful,

confidential, and safe. A space for caring connection.

It is what you make it.

Why counselling? (Benefits)

Counselling is beneficial as one is able to actively set individual goals, improve interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, build a life toolkit, actualise life goals, learn more about oneself, process grief, and emotional regulation, learn mental care & pain management, and create meaning in one's life.

Where does counselling take place?

Counselling takes place in two different environments:

- Face to Face sessions are available for individuals who live in Durban, KZN.

- Online counselling is available for individuals via Zoom.

Who is counselling for?

Counselling does not discriminate. We welcome all individuals to take on the challenge of self-discovery, entering a comfortable alliance to face uncomfortable truths in one's lives. Counselling services are available for all individuals at different stages of life, ranging from adolescents to senior citizens.

Come as you are.

When does counselling occur?

Counselling plans look different for everyone, generally sessions occur weekly or bi-weekly. When your sessions happen will depend on the agreement made between you and your counsellor.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

- Carl Rogers
